Level gauges
Liquid level gauges
Types: glass tube indicators, which are normally used in unpressurised, non-hazardous installations, offer an inexpensive alternative.
Reflex: The principle of the reflex glass is the reflection of external light. In the gas or vapour phase the light is reflected by prismatic grooves in the sight glass, achieving a bright display. In the liquid phase the light is absorbed, thus providing a dark display of the level. (Borosilicate glass)
Transparent: In transparent glass gauges the liquid is enclosed between two transparent glasses. This allows a view through the liquid and thus provides a clear indication of the level. Also transparent ,Mica protected gauges up to 120 bar.
Magnetic Level Gauges :Magnetic float level sensors involve the use of a permanent magnet sealed inside a float whose rise and fall causes the opening or closing of a mechanical switch, either through direct contact or in proximity of a reed switch.
Materials : Brass - cast iron - carbon steel - stainless steel
Pressure/temperature : Up to 120 bar - 400°C
